Willie Fritz, First Selectman for Clinton, discusses regional initiatives that local towns are participating in to improve services across our region. Health insurance policies were formerly the burden of individual towns, Clinton town officials worked to change a state law and are now in the process of working with other towns in our region to form a larger bargaining unit. There are also plans to join Westbrook for a new animal shelter. Willie also focuses on Clinton projects -- Clinton Landing, the Town Marina and Town Beach -- that have been funded through Connecticut state grants. As the economic times get more difficult some projects have been put on the back burner, Willie gives us an update on where these projects stand.
