Jim Crawford is a lifelong Westbrook resident, serving as a teacher in Westbrook for 36 years. Crawford has a history degree from Providence College, and two MS Degrees from SCSU in Urban Studies and Psychology.
He is a former small business owner, as Maples Motel has been run by his family for over 50 years. He also served as a US Army officer specializing in Race Relations, and a member of numerous civic organizations. Crawford is a Board member for the Westbrook Foundation, and the Chairman of the Economic Development Commission for Westbrook. Jim has been married for 39 years to Elaine, and has two adult children Meredith and Nicholas. Crawford is currently running for CT State Representative of the 35th District, which covers Westbrook, Clinton, and Killingworth.
